Humane Bat Removal and Control

New York State is home to nine different species of bats including the red bat, hoary bat, silver-haired bat, northern long-eared bat, little brown bat, Indian bat, tri-colored bat, big brown bat and the eastern small-footed bat. Bats consume approximately 50 % of their body weight in flying insects, such as mosquitoes in a single night. Therefore, bats are beneficial animals and the only mammal that can fly. However, when bats end up in your home, or business they are nuisance wildlife. Nassau County Animal Control Wildlife Removal at DQ Pest Control specializes in providing the New York City and Long Island area, safe, effective and humane removal of any bat colonies from any type of structure. If you have a bat or bats flying around in your home, or business then you probably have a bat colony somewhere in the attic or walls of your premises. We will do a complete inspection of your home, or business and determine how the bats are entering. Bats are warm-blooded and give birth to baby bats and nurse them with milk. Baby bats are born in June to early July and grow quickly, with many flying and hunting within a month.  Humane bat removal from an attic in Nassau County, Long Island is best done in the Fall, when there are no young flightless bats in the attic. Our humane wildlife control services are performed by licensed New York State Nuisance Wildlife Control Operators.

The presence of bats in the attic, walls or in the structure of your Nassau County, Long Island home  can pose a serious health risk to your family and depreciate the value of your home. Bats are a rabies vector animal, so never attempt to catch or handle one. Bat waste is called "Guano". Guano when allowed to dry will become powderlike and eventually can become airborne and in most cases cause the spread of a serious fungal disease, called Histoplasmosis. We can also provide you with attic cleanup and removal of fecal material.  Attics are sanitized and deodorized.

Please call for a thorough inspection by a wildlife control expert, who will identify bat entry and access points on your home. Our humane animal control specialists, can then set up a bat exclusion system, which will allow the bats to leave but not re-enter your Nassau County, Long Island home.
